We offer several testing options, from Alpha Track long-term test kits to digital monitor readings. Radon is colourless and odourless, so testing is the only way to know your levels.
Testing is simple and affordable, and our high-quality kits are designed to accurately measure your home’s long-term average radon concentration so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
Short-term radon testing is typically conducted over 96 hours (4 days) and provides a snapshot of radon levels during a specific period. This type of testing is commonly used during real estate transactions when results are needed quickly.
If levels exceed Health Canada guidelines, buyers and sellers can use the results to discuss mitigation options or follow up with a long-term test for confirmation.
For homeowners who simply want to understand their property’s typical radon exposure, a long-term test is still recommended.
We offer Airthings digital radon monitors, which are well-suited for short-term assessments and real estate situations where timely results are important.
The only way to know if your home has elevated radon is to test for it. Health Canada recommends a minimum 90-day test to determine your home’s long-term average radon level, since concentrations can change daily and seasonally.
These passive detectors remain in your home for the testing period and are then mailed to a certified laboratory for analysis. They provide an accurate long-term average radon level, although results may take additional time due to shipping and lab processing.
Electronic monitors provide ongoing readings and display daily radon levels. They log measurements over time and allow you to see trends and changes within your home while the test is in progress.
No matter which option you choose, proper placement and duration are important. We’re happy to help you select the best testing method for your home and ensure the results are reliable.
Finding out your home has elevated radon levels can feel overwhelming, but the good news is that radon problems are very fixable. A properly designed mitigation system can safely reduce levels by up to 95% and protect your home and family long-term.
We’ll review your test results, explain what they mean, and walk you through the available solutions for your specific home. Every house is different, and we focus on clear recommendations, practical options, and reliable performance.
